As soon as I turn the lights out my brain goes into overdrive and I can’t switch off – I’m now at the stage where I dread going to bed as I know I’ll toss and turn for hours. Does anyone have any advice to help this?

I have the exact same thing! I find it particularly hard to stop my brain whirring before bed... I feel as though my brain is more active just when I've hit the pillow.
I find reading and burning a calming candle usually helps me relax, I always read something light... an easy story, nothing heavy or too factual. I've also recently discovered the calm app which has really soothing sleep stories that almost make me feel like a child its quite comforting.
Also have you tried Clipper night time tea?
Hope this helps..

I agree with Jane, I find turning off all lights and burning a candle helps me unwind. Gives me time to think through my day so I have an clutter free mind when I do want to fall asleep!
